Activities of the WMO Hydrological Coordination Panel (HCP) relevant for GRDC

The eighteenth session of the World Meteorological Congress (Cg-18) with the intention of supporting the Strategic Plan of WMO, adopted the restructuring of the eight technical commissions into two, namely, the Commission for Observation, Infrastructure and Information Systems (Infrastructure Commission or INFCOM) and the Commission for Weather, Climate, Water and Related Environmental Services and Applications (Services Commission or SERCOM). The activities of the former Commission for Hydrology (WMO-CHy) are now spread across INFCOM and SERCOM.

The WMO Hydrological Assembly has been established as an open Committee of Congress to make recommendations to Congress and relevant constituent bodies on matters related to hydrology, and the Hydrological Coordination Panel (HCP) supporting the Hydrological Assembly.
