A basic network of national hydrological networks within the Arctic region

The network will comprise stations that are best suited to monitor and detect changes in the Arctic hydrological regime, specifically related to climate change. Currently 631 stations have been identified.

The dataset comprises currently time series data of 561 river discharge stations that already have been captured in the GRDC database out of the 631 identified stations. Generally the time series are longer than 20 years, each capturing a basin area greater than 3,000 km².

Participating countries have agreed that the Arctic-HYCOS project dataset is freely available and can be downloaded without restrictions. The time series are updated regularly.
